What is Thoroughbreds Soccer Club?

The Thoroughbred Soccer Club is a premier, competitive soccer program within the heart of Oldham County, Kentucky. Since it was founded, in 1996, this soccer organization has grown to 29 teams helping to foster a love of soccer for more than 350 players from Oldham and many surrounding counties.  Through its affiliation with the Oldham County Youth Soccer Association, it is the largest youth soccer organization in the Louisville area with more than 1,000 children participating in spring and fall programs annually.

Each year, the Thoroughbred Soccer Club continues to grow in size, accomplishments and recognition. As a traveling sports league, it represents Oldham County, as well as the entire state of Kentucky in tournaments throughout the Midwest and other parts of the nation. Thanks to the newly formed Thoroughbred Soccer Academy, players of all ages and abilities now enjoy the benefit of additional training and programs that will help enhance their soccer experiences.

The Thoroughbred Soccer Club, along with OCYSA, has been very successful in hosting an annual Derby Cup Tournament each spring. In April 2008, 183 teams representing 49 clubs in seven states helped contribute more than $600,000 into the local economy. The club also hosts a 3v3 small-sided soccer tournament each January, and is hoping to add a 4v4 summer tournament in the future.

The Thoroughbreds pride themselves on not only being a premier soccer club within the state of Kentucky, but also in instilling a strong sense of community within each player. Not only do we offer many different training venues along with college and Olympic development play preparation, as the players mature we shift our training from individual growth to team development; helping our players to achieve success both on and off the field.

What is Support The Stable?

Support The Stable is a non-profit, fundraising website dedicated to raising money to benefit the Thoroughbreds Soccer Club in Oldham County, Kentucky. All money raised will go toward obtaining new fields and accommodations, furthering soccer club expansion within the community, and establishing a scholarship program.

What is Taste of Thoroughbreds Soccer?

Taste of Thoroughbreds Soccer is a red carpet event taking place on Saturday, November 1, at Gingerwoods Event Hall in Prospect, to benefit the Thoroughbreds Soccer Club. The much anticipated evening will provide star-studded, A-list glam all night long, including a red carpet celebrity entry, food tastes provided by the finest restaurants in the area, a cash bar, live entertainment, a silent and live auction, big-ticket raffle drawings, and so much more! This is a must-attend event!
